Principal: Roslyn Hamling. 

The Principal, Roslyn Hamling is responsible for the educational leadership and management of our school. If you would like to speak to the Principal, please contact the school to make an appointment. All teaching staff meet the professional requirements to teach in Western Australian public schools and can be found on the public register of teachers of the Western Australian College of Teaching. Our professional, university-educated teachers work to improve students’ levels of educational achievement. They encourage students to become successful learners who are confident and creative individuals. They maintain the highest integrity and concern for your child’s well-being. All Education Assistants, who work alongside classroom teachers and support teaching and learning, have Level 3 status.

I will be working for the children of Carson Street School to improve educational opportunities.

My focus is to develop strong relationships with our families and the school community and to ensure our children explore the educational opportunities available to them, to enhance their learning.

I have been working in the Education Support field for over 20 years. I have held a number of positions in a variety of student-based settings: Playgroup Leader, mainstream Pre-Primary teacher, Special Needs Teacher and Satellite (Early Childhood) and Deputy Principal at Durham Road School. My passion has always been, and continues to be, to work with and for children to help them strive to be the best they can be.

Linking Student Learning and Wellbeing

Marian Tetlow, is employed two days a week and is funded by the Federal Government National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program. Marian has a background in teaching, and from her personal experience understands what it is like to care for a disabled child with high care needs.

The Aims of the role are to:

• Provide whole-school support

• Work with teachers and students

• Work with parents

• Work with the community

The CSO is available for a confidential chat with students, families, and staff from the Carson Street School Community on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Appointments can be made through the school office on 9361 7500 or by email:


 Psychologist: Melissa Jensen

Accomplished management career reflects 25 years’ experience in leadership, human resources management, psychology, resource utilisation, and organisational development in highly decentralised organisations. Worked as a HR professional with a focus on organisational psychology coupled with casual psychology work in EAP and trauma.  Successfully obtained a position at Department of Education in 2018, firstly at Baldivis Secondary College; and then transferred to Carson Street School.
