The Student Services Coordinator oversees the functioning of student support and coordinates the development, implementation and review of related process and policy. This includes facilitating the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment at Carson Street.
The Student Services Coordinator is also responsible for strategic planning in this area.

I have worked within the education department for 34 years in varying roles across all regions. My passion is creating positive, caring relationships between students, staff, parents, and the wider community to ensure our children become the best versions of themselves. My focus will be to support the growth of our school staff to ensure our students are fully immersed in learning and ensuring the appropriate resources are received.

School Psychology ServiceSophie West
The school psychologist plays a key role in supporting students, parents, teachers, and school administrators and is a uniquely qualified member of the student services team who supports each student’s ability to learn and the teachers’ ability to teach.
Our psychologist helps school staff meet the social, emotional, learning, and behavioural needs of students. The school psychologist works closely with the Student Services and PBS Coordinators, school administration, teachers, students, and parents to make a positive difference to learning and wellbeing across the school: they help every child shine.

Enrolment Officer Dallas Bird
The Enrolment Officer is responsible for day-to-day processing and management of new student enrolment documentation, assisting with school tours and liaising with new and prospective families of the school.
- Assist with enrolment enquiries
- Conduct school tours
- Liaison with prospective enrolments, school staff, health professionals and other allied services
- Liaison with Principal and student services team
- Process enrolment applications
- Input and manage new and existing student enrolment data
- Assisting student services as required
- Typing, photocopying, and emailing documents as required.

School ChaplainChrista Du Plessis
Our YouthCARE Chaplain supports the social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the school community while demonstrating the values of respect, compassion, and service. Our chaplain’s focus is on the well-being of our school community and to make a difference in the educational outcomes of students by supporting the school community.
The Chaplain builds positive relationships with the school community to promote the culture and values of our school. As a member of the Student Services team, the Chaplain also supports the school community with the challenges some members may be facing.
The aim is to create and support a positive school culture through pastoral care and involvement in school initiatives.

Attendance OfficerPeter Salleo
The Student Services Coordinator manages student attendance. This role includes:
- Monitoring attendance of students
- Identifying continuous unidentified attendance and notifying parents
- Sending communication to parents for unexplained absentees
- Maintaining a database of student absentee factors
- Identifying students requiring Case Management
- Case Management
