Immersive Sensory Exploration

Immersive Sensory Exploration

Each term, the students participate in a weekly immersive sensory story experience where they can explore a variety of sensory stimuli through touch, sound, light and scent. Throughout the year, four story books are adapted, with many hands on resources available for the students to interact with. The characters and different elements of each story come to life as they are created using recycled materials, designed to engage the senses. Some of the books students have explored include ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’, ‘Wombat Stew’, the ‘Pete the Cat’ series, ‘The Magic Hat’, ‘There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly’, ‘A Wombat Went a Walking’ and many more.
